It's amazing everytime I go there the artist remembers me, and chats with me about life, remembering stuff we talked about last time, I feel like part of the family.
It was my first time going to this barber shop and the moment I walked in I was greeted by Mike, his colleague and the customer sitting in the chair getting a haircut. These barbers really take the time to connect with their customers. Speaking to them like they've known each other for years. I felt like I was at home. Conversations (kid friendly), laughter and family oriented. Overall a great vibe, I will be going back.
Upon first entering the barber shop, Mike was welcoming and tuned into my grandson. He introduced himself and throughout our wait tried to engage my child to get him ready for his cut. My grandson has autism. He has trouble waiting, among other things. That is something I usually have to explain to people everywhere we go, not here. Mike got him in the chair before others who were waiting. Mike recognized my child wouldn’t last if he waited too long. This was a blessing, not only from the barber but also from those who let him go ahead without complaint. He could have told us to come back, make an appointment, or just wait it out and if my grandson couldn’t handle the wait...that would be on me. When you have a life of constant difficulty, any ounce of kindness/understanding from others is a gift you don’t take for granted. On top of all this, Mike took his time and was very understanding about how difficult getting a haircut is for a child with sensory struggles. I am truly thankful and happy with the cut my grandson received. We will definitely be back!!
Awesome atmosphere except for all that Dallas Cowboys memorabilia! I’m a diehard Washington Redskins fan from DC and I break out in hives upon entering the door! But it’s still the best shop in SoCal! S/O to my bro Mikey and the fam! Keep chopping it up fly my guys!
I just adore these guys. They’ve been cutting my husband Greg’s hair for years. After Greg had a stroke and brain surgery in the last year, he has weird nerve pain under his scalp and a whole area hair hasn’t grown back in. A haircut is exactly what he needed to feel like himself again. The guys were excited to see Greg and Greg was happy to see them. Every community deserves a local barbershop for men to connect and make friends. Great shop, even if they are Giants fans lol! Much love from the Hutchinsons!
